OUR PROCESS
Initial Discussion and meeting – Most companies charge for initial visits and discussing your ideas and will only start discussions once you have paid a visiting fee upfront. However, at Lead Structural, we believe that good advice should be available to our clients without being bound and our process starts with you discussing your initial ideas for you house extension with one of our senior staff.
Architectural Design – At Lead Structural, we have consultant chartered architects that work with us to develop your plans and give advice on the planning process. We will develop detailed drawings for your house extensions in Glasgow.
Local Authority Consents – We will then work towards achieving the required consents, starting with planning permission for your house extension, and followed by the final building warrants to actually start the building work. Our engineers will ensure your plans are compliant with all necessary requirements including SER certification if required. We have experience with the planning and building control departments in Glasgow City Council, North Lanarkshire, East & West Dunbartonshire & Renfrewshire Councils and will help you throughout the process.
Finding a Builder- With detailed approved plans we will set up meetings for you with recommended builders or you may decide on your own builder. We can assist you in tender and selection of the builders as required for your house extensions in Glasgow.
Monitoring construction and Site input – We can supervise your project and ensure the work complies with the standards and drawings. This includes any checks ahead of inspections from the Building control officer to ensure smooth completion certificate issuance.
